Robotics Week 1 : Welcome to Robotics
During this week you will collect the lego robotics kit. It is important to make sure you have all of the parts you need. From time to time, in class, other groups may borrow parts from your kit. This is generally ok as long as they return the parts they borrow.
Your kit has a cardboard sheet listing the parts that the kit should contain. Organise your kit and make sure you have these essential parts :
- 1 x big yellow controller
- 2 x Motors
- 1 x touch sensor
- 3 x connector wires (black wires)
- 2 x tractor treads
- Many cogs of all sizes
Exercises
This week you should
- Collect your kit and make sure you have all of the parts.
- Organise your kit neatly
- Create a sign for your kit. The sign should have the names of your group members, should have a nice picture of robots and should be created in Microsoft Pulisher and made very beautiful. Print a copy of your sign and put it under the clear cover of the lego box so that everyone knows who your box belongs to.
- Print another sign the same for your group's shelf in the cupboard. When you pack up your kit it should always go back into your shelf on the cupboard.
- Pack up your kit neatly at the end of the period. Make sure you haven't left any parts on the table or floor (the cleaner will sweep them up and throw them away!)
